WHAT’S WITH THE “HAPPY HOUR” NAME?
Well, when you can have fun and problem-solve at the same time, we call that a “happy hour”. And - it’s not just fun, for fun’s sake. Play works for adult learning.
A 2025 study on gamification in adult education found that gamified, interactive, collaborative elements (like shuffling a deck, picking a prompt, speaking into a game format and winning points for contributing) heighten motivation and engagement.
TL:DR - When your team gets to play, they learn by doing - and their skill-building and confidence levels soar. When they play, they remember more. They try more.
